Standby Mode is designed to help conserve your Bass50’s power while keeping it ready for quick reactivation. In this mode, certain internal functions shut down to reduce battery consumption, but the Bass50 stays Bluetooth-discoverable through the Trulli App so you can wake it remotely.
What Standby Mode Does
When the Bass50 enters Standby Mode, it:
- Conserves power by disabling high-draw components
- Remains Bluetooth-discoverable for remote wake-up via the Trulli App
- Preserves your sound profiles and connections so you can resume playing instantly.
Even while in Standby Mode, the Bass50's internal Bluetooth system stays in low-power mode for up to four days, allowing the Trulli App to find and power it on remotely.
By default, the Bass50 enters standby automatically after 20 minutes of no audio playback, but this can be customized in the Trulli App.
How to Put the Bass50 into Standby Mode
You can activate Standby Mode in two ways:
On the Bass50
- Press and hold the Trulli button for 1 second, then release.
- The Trulli Button LED will turn off, indicating that the Bass50 is now in Standby Mode.
To wake it, press and hold the Trulli Button again for one second.
Tip: Put your Bass50 into Standby Mode when stepping away for short periods. It conserves power but keeps your system ready to go.
In the Trulli App
- Open the Trulli App and navigate to the Home Screen (this is typically the default screen when you open the app)
- On your active Bass50's card, tap the Standby button
How to adjust Standby Timeout Settings
If you prefer your Bass50 to stay active longer, you can change the automatic Standby timeout in the Trulli App:
- Open the Trulli App.
- Go to your Sound Profile Settings
- Scroll to Standby Timeout
- Choose your preferred duration by sliding the slider from the minimum of 20 minutes all the way up to indefinite.
This feature lets you tailor your experience, whether you're tuning for long listening sessions of preserving battery on the go.
Final Notes
Standby Mode is the balance between performance and preservation. It saves energy when you're not playing while keeping your connection active and your sound ready. If you plan to store or transport your Bass50 for an extended period, we recommend fully powering it off instead by holding the Trulli Button for 7 seconds.
