How do I check the Jam5 battery level and charge it?

Press the volume up and down buttons simultaneously to check the battery level using the LED bar. To charge, plug in the included USB-C cable and look for the charging indicator.

The Jam5 is powered by a high-efficiency 12.6V lithium-ion battery, built to deliver big sound that lasts. Whether you're streaming indoors or headed outside, it’s easy to keep tabs on your battery life and make sure you’re charged and ready to go.

How to check battery level

You can check your battery status in two ways:

• Quick Press: Tap the + and – buttons once (don’t hold).
  The LED bars will animate from left to right on the front and back, showing battery level in 16 total steps, each representing approximately 6.25% of charge.

• Voice Prompts: The Jam5 will speak when it hits certain thresholds:

  • “Battery below 50% – consider charging”

  • “Battery low” (around 20%)

  • “Please charge” (critically low)

  • “Goodbye” (device powering down due to 0%)

How to charge the Jam5

Use the included Trulli USB-C cable and 15V/2A Trulli power adapter for optimal charging.
Using an incompatible charger may result in slower charging speeds or prevent the device from charging altogether.

• While charging, the LED bar glows red

• Once fully charged, the red light turns off

Using third-party charging blocks may not deliver the required voltage and could impact charging speed or device performance.

Estimated battery life by volume

From mute (0 clicks) to max volume (16 clicks), battery life depends on how loud you like it:

• 4 clicks (25% volume) ≈ 18 hours

• 8 clicks (50%) ≈ 15 hours

• 12 clicks (75%) ≈ 5 hours

• 16 clicks (100%) ≈ 3 hours

Lower volume = longer playtime. Great for all-day listening.
