Noticing a lag between your music and what you hear from your Bass50? Audio latency can be frustrating—especially if you're DJing, watching movies, or syncing multiple speakers. Luckily, it’s usually easy to fix with the right setup.
1. Restart the Bass50
Sometimes, a quick reboot is all it takes. Try turning your Bass50 off and back on:
- Press and hold the Trulli Button for 7 seconds to power off
- Then press and hold the Trulli Button for 1 second to power it back on
Now try reconnecting and testing your audio again.
2. Check your connection type
Your Bass50 supports multiple input types, and some are faster than others.
- SKAA is your lowest-latency option—ideal for real-time audio like DJ sets or video.
- Bluetooth has slightly more latency, especially on older devices.
- AUX and USB-C are both wired, so they generally have no noticeable delay.
Want the best performance? Use SKAA with a low-latency transmitter like the Dani SKAA Transmitter.
3. Reduce wireless interference
Things like Wi-Fi routers, Bluetooth traffic, or even microwaves can add delay.
- Stay within line of sight to your Bass50.
- Avoid placing it near other strong wireless signals.
- Disconnect nearby wireless gear that’s not in use.
SKAA is built for environments where Bluetooth often struggles—so it’s a better bet for crowded spaces like clubs or festivals.
4. Evaluate your source device
Sometimes the delay isn’t coming from the Bass50—it’s your playback device.
- Older phones or laptops may introduce Bluetooth lag.
- Streaming services (like Spotify or YouTube) might buffer or compress audio.
- Try playing an offline file locally on your device to see if the delay improves.
5. Try Time Correction in the Trulli App
If you’re using multiple speakers or playing alongside a system, small timing differences can stack up. The Time Correction tool in the Trulli App helps align playback and improve phase timing across devices.

6. Factory Reset (last resort)
Still experiencing noticeable lag?
Try a Factory Reset to clear stored settings and start fresh:
- Hold – and + on the Bass50 for 7 seconds
- Re-pair your device and test again
Worried about erasing your settings? Try a hard reset instead. Learn how here: [What’s the difference between a Hard Reset and Factory Reset?]
Final Notes
Latency doesn’t mean something’s wrong—it just means your setup might need a quick tweak. Whether it’s switching to SKAA, adjusting your source, or fine-tuning the app settings, the Bass50 can stay locked in with your sound once everything’s dialed.
