Yes! The Jam5 strap is fully removable, and the connectors are compatible with most universal straps, giving you freedom to customize your look and carrying style.
Removing the Jam5 Strap
To remove the strap:
-
Locate the two connectors on either side of the Jam5.
-
Press down on one of the connectors and twist it to the left until it detaches.
-
Repeat this step on the other side.
-
Once both connectors are released, the strap will come off easily.
Removing the strap does not affect the performance or functionality of your Jam5. You can use it with or without a strap.
Using a Different Strap
Want to add a personal touch? You can swap the original Jam5 strap for another compatible strap of your choice. This could be a guitar strap, camera strap, or any universal strap that fits securely to the Jam5’s attachment points. Make sure the strap you choose is strong enough to support the weight of the Jam5 and securely attaches to the connectors to avoid accidental drops.
Having trouble removing the connectors?
If the strap connectors become stuck:
-
Double-check that you're fully pressing the release button while twisting the connector to the left.
-
You should hear a subtle click when the button is fully engaged.
-
If they’re still stuck, try applying a tiny bit of silicone-based lubricant (like WD-40 or silicone spray) only on the connector—not on the speaker.
-
Let it sit for a few minutes before trying again.
If you’ve tried all of the above and the connectors still won’t budge, don’t force it. Please contact us for help. We’ll walk you through it.
