Why is my speaker volume so low?Updated a year ago

If you are experiencing low audio or no audio playback on your JAM5 speaker, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue. First, make sure that both the connected device and the speaker are turned on and the volume is turned up. If this doesn't resolve the issue, try the following steps:


  1. Go into your device settings (Android or iOS) and choose "forget this device." Power down your JAM5 and turn it back on, then press -+ at the same time to enable pairing. In bluetooth settings, choose JAM5 and repair the connection.
  2. If the connected device has functions or modes, set them to the appropriate ones.
  3. When music files on your computer are playing back, check that the audio output settings in the computer, such as Bluetooth® settings, audio settings, sound settings are set correctly.
  4. Metallic objects can cause interference or muffled playback, so move any metallic objects away from the unit to test if the sound increases.
  5. If you have headphones connected, try disconnecting them in your bluetooth settings and following the "forget this device" method.
  6. If the issue is still not resolved, turn your unit off and back on. To reset your device, press -+ and hold down for 7 seconds. Once this has been done, enable pairing and bluetooth connection again to the device you are trying to playback on.
